Sapphire Barrows of
Pittsburg is looking for local
support and hoping for a big
break in her modeling career.

The 13-year-old has successfully competed for an opportunity
to represent herself in the
International Model & Talent
Association’s auditions, to be

held at the Hilton and Towers in
New York City this July.

The achievement was no small
feat, as she was one of 750 chosen to audition from among
thousands of competitors. Some
famous faces previously discovered at the ITMA event include
actors Katie Holmes, Eva
Longoria and Ashton Kutcher.

On very short notice, Sapphire
must raise a total of $5,200 to
travel to New York for the auditions. Her quest does not end
there, as Sapphire is the daughter of disabled parents; her
father, Chris Harding, is on the
national registry for a kidney
and pancreas transplant. Her

mother, Lisa, is doing all a
mother can to make a miracle
come true for her daughter.

Sapphire must pay a $1,030
deposit by February 21, and
raise the full amount by April

30. She is hoping the community will help her see this opportu
nity through. Contributions in
any amount are welcome, and
sponsorships of $100 or more
purchase a listing in the IMTA
program book.
